A couple of notes on getting to the boatyard:
After you make the turn off of Behan Road toward the marina, please respect the speed limit of 25mph when driving in on this road. This is a specific request of the marina owner who has family with children that live on this road.
Park at the corn/soybean field. If you drive all the way in to the marina and see pole barns and boats on trailers, you have gone too far and should turn around and come back to the corn field.
What to wear to the boatyard
If you are visiting our boatyard for the first time, here are a few tips on how to prepare:
Closed toe shoes are recommended. We have wood chip paths, and our boatyard is on the banks of a river, it's better to be wearing sturdy footwear. In the spring, boots are not a bad idea.
If you are riding along to observe a practice, it is best to wear extra layers. It is always cooler on the water than it is standing outside your house.
