Hotel Information:
Rowers will stay at the YMCA in Clinton, IL on Friday and Saturday evening. We may need parents to come and help drive some of the kids to the regatta site on Saturday and Sunday morning.
We will be volunteering for the Collegiate Regatta again this year. This is a great way to give back to another organization and support rowing in the Midwest. Jobs we typically help with are:
Stake boat holders
Apparel sales
Awards
Parking lot attendants
Launch drivers (launch qualified individuals)
The rowers have the opportntity to spend the evening at the Clinton YMCA on Friday and Saturday. Please communicate with Coach Sue about what your intended arrival day and time are.
Arrival at the YMCA on Friday evening is no later than 10p.
If you are staying the night and prefer to have your rower stay with you at your hotel, please let coaches know so we have a count of who will be staying.
If you are coming down on Saturday, please let Coach Sue know and I can figure out what time you need to be there
Rowers can bring games and stuff to do for Friday and Saturday evening
If you are coming to volunteer, please bring money for breakfast and dinner on Saturday.
Breakfast: For breakfast, we usually stop at McDonalds on our way to the regatta site.
Snacks: We will bring an assortment of snacks and drinks that will be in my truck for everyone to grab on Saturday when they need them
Lunch: We typically get vouchers for the food trucks for lunch on Saturday.
Dinner: We'll find somewhere to go out on Saturday before heading back to the YMCA to hang out.
COMING SOON
It is really important that everyone going to the regatta has GroupMe loaded on a device and unmutes it so that you are getting updates. You also need to be sure that you are checking GroupMe regularly for updates. We will only be sending updates via GroupMe next weekend.
Please see Regattas 101 for information on what parents should, what rowers should pack, and what to expect at a regatta.
There is parking at the regatta site, but you may have to drop your rower off and park in remote parking. The regatta is small this year, so there is a pretty good chance that we will be able to park on site.
This is a 2k bouyed race course. You will be able to see the second half of the race, but the first half will be difficult to see.

Some of you may need to sign your rower's US Rowing waiver online in order for them to compete at the regatta. If this affects you, you will get an email.
