Regatta Call Time: 8:45a
Please try to be in the building by 8:45a. Parents can drop off rowers, then go find parking., or make sure you leave time to park and walk to the building.
Meet in the main lobby area of the building. We'll get everyone together and figure out where our "home base" location will be where we can stash out stuff.
Regatta End Time (approx): 3:00p - Everyone should plan to stay for all of the events to support their teammates (unless there is a reason that you need to leave and you let me know ahead of time).
Results: Results will be posted at the regatta and will be on Regatta Central after the event.
Approximately 1 hour from Crystal Lake
When you arrive, you may use the athlete drop-off lane on the South side of 55th Street. The North side of 55th Street will be reserved for bus parking only. There is no parking allowed on Western Ave. You may not use the parking lot attached to Gage Park; it is reserved for CTC staff.
Lot 2, the athlete and spectator parking area, is located at Gage Park High School, located at 5630 S. Rockwell St. This area will be open between 8 am and 4 am. You must vacate the area by 4 pm. Please do not park in the driving school lot located directly next to Lot 2; your vehicle will be towed. Please consult the signs and Traffic Marshalls or CTC staff for guidance.
Due to the size of Lot 2, there may be a limited number of parking spots available. We recommend utilizing the additional street parking on W. 57th St. and S. Rockwell St. Please remember that this is a residential area. Be mindful not to block driveways, sidewalks, or entrances, and follow all posted signage. Your cooperation helps us maintain a positive relationship with our neighbors. In the event of snow, vans and buses will also be directed to this additional parking area.
Please keep in mind that buses are the only vehicles allowed to park across the street from Gage Park. The athlete and spectator parking area (Lot 2) is less than a 10-minute walk away. Don't forget to bundle up and factor in your walking time!
Please wear your Privateers team shirt and black bottoms. If you don't have a Privateers team shirt, please talk to a coach.
Bring a water bottle.
Becuase of the timing of the event overall, and the timing of the races, we will have some Jimmy Johns sandwiches for rower and families. Families are welcome to eat, but please be aware of the rowers scheudules and ensure that they get food if they need it. They may not always eat when you expect them to due to the timinfg
We will have a selection of "regatta snacks".
If you have special food that you would like or any specific dietary needs, please bring any specific snacks or food that you would feel you may need.
Several of you should have gotten emails regarding updating your US Rowing Agreement. I updated US Rowing memberships for several people, so you will need to go in and update your online agreement. This is a process that happens once a year when a rower's membership is updated. If you got an email, please follow the directions in the email and log in to the US Rowing member site and update your agreement. Rowers that are 18 or over will also have to do a SafeSport attestation. Please let me know if you have any questions about this process.
